your hands.

The Studio

A quiet corner of Chillicothe
where clay becomes craft.

Nikki Bridenbaugh Pottery is a small, independent studio rooted in the belief that everyday objects deserve beauty. Every piece that leaves the studio has been shaped at the wheel, glazed by hand, and fired with intention.

There are no assembly lines here. Just a potter, a wheel, and the patience to let each piece find its own form. The result is work that feels different in your hands — slightly irregular, deeply personal, made to last.

The Process

From raw earth
to finished work.

There's a rhythm to the studio — one that can't be rushed. Each piece moves through stages of transformation, and Nikki's attention at each step is what gives the final work its character.

01

Wedging & Centering

Clay is prepared by hand, removing air bubbles and aligning the particles so the wheel can shape it smoothly.

02

Throwing on the Wheel

Each piece takes form under the potter's hands — walls pulled, curves shaped, rim finished. No molds, no shortcuts.

03

Drying & Trimming

Once leather-hard, the piece is trimmed, refined, and left to dry slowly — a patient waiting period that matters.

04

Glazing & Firing

Hand-mixed glazes are applied, then the kiln does its work — transforming the surface into something durable and luminous.

Come see the work
in person.

The studio is open for visits by appointment. Walk in, see the pieces on the shelves, and talk with Nikki about what she's working on.
